About James Teen
Small moments.
Meaningful discoveries.
Books that make space for curiosity, connection, and the everyday work of growing up.

A note from behind the books.
I create under the pen name James Teen. The character you see here is the illustrated face of that world: curious, encouraging, and always ready to explore.
My aim is simple: to make books that give children something to do, something to wonder about, and something to share with someone they love.
That might mean a drawing with Grandma, a question that feels easier to write than to say, or a money mission that turns the kitchen table into a place to experiment.
You don’t need a perfect afternoon or all the answers. Sometimes a pencil, an open page, and a few minutes together are enough to begin.

Room to play. Space to grow.
From shared journals and drawing books to puberty guides and Ready 2 Play, each project opens a different door into curiosity, confidence, and family connection.

A little peek at what’s next.
The next Ready 2 Play adventure is taking shape: four weeks of real-world money missions, family conversations, and choices children can make for themselves.
The adventure happens offline.
Choose a mission. Agree on a reward. Do the work. Then decide what to spend, save, or give. Printable Star-Dollars make the learning hands-on.
A simple companion for parents.
Money HQ is being developed alongside the book to help families track missions, balances, and savings goals. The real discoveries still happen away from the screen.
Work in progress — details may evolve as the book and companion are refined.
